Question si cage install?

i got my cage and am trying to put it on but when i go to tighten the engine mount bolts the allen socket keeps coming of the extension in the cage and can't get it out unless i take the bolt out.

i've tried using some electrical tape around the socket and that didnt work and also tired using some wd 40 in the allen bolt head thinking it would slide out better but still didnt work.

any ideas? guess might just have to make a trip to home depot and buy t handle hex wrenches

Re: si cage install?

tighten it down and then reverse the ratchet and just start to loosen it and that should release the allen key from the bolt but if that doesn't work then you got the right idea with a t handle

Re: si cage install?

I got a socket stuck in my SI cage too...haha its still their after 5 months. maybe over the winter I'll get around to getting it out of their...

SI cages eat sockets

And I'm glad I got a junk set of plastics for my bike before I put on the cage because I butchered the **** out of the plastics..you could drive a truck threw the holes for the cross bar in front of the engine

Re: si cage install?

my rhs one rattled out and i lost it.

i replaced it with a M10 x 1.25 x 75mm. is that same as the supplied one and are they the same on both sides?
