You're crazy lol. Before this my bike was one of the best running F4i's I've ever touched

 

well then you should put it back the way it was and every one else who has done this mod should undo it too......lol

i think mine comes up fast as hell and im only -1+2. when i first did it i had to turn my stock idle up to about 1000-1200 cause i had a dead spot or a sputter as soon as you cracked the throttle. dunno if that help or not

 

yep i think nags is just paying more attention to his bike now then he was before he did the mod and if he undoes it he will see the difference ..

I definitely noticed an improvement

Went from rocking idles on my f4i at 3k-3.5k only getting down to 8-10mph indictated and my bike would stall out

Now im rocking 2-2.2k idle, and can get down to 5-6mph indicated on stock gearing..

within ONE wheelie of doing the clean air mod I was rocking 5-6mph instead of 8-10..

 

it makes the bike better all around and alot of peolple agree ,i have even seen dyno test that show increased torque and horse power

 

So why wouldnt it come like that from factory if it makes it better all around?

yes this mod was first done by racers for the power gain , the not getting oil in the airbox while stunting was an after thought
