Dirt bars

What are the advantages of putting dirt bars on your bike for startes?

Where does the throttle go?

Does anyone have any pics of them on an R6 specifically a 99

Re: Dirt bars

you could use clip ons and turn them out/flip them.... the throttle slides on and you drill a hole in the db's so the tab on the throttle box stays in place... pm'd you back

Re: Dirt bars

I have dirtbike bars on my 06 GSXR750. I had to get a longer clutch cable and a longer brake line. I wanted to keep the clutch cable routed like stock so thats why I had an extended one. It broke so now I have the stocker routed over the gas tank and it looks pretty ghetto lol Other than that, the throttle cables and the wiring for the switches all worked.

You'll notice you have more control on the front tire. I guess its cuz you have more leverage. Also, wheelies will be easier cuz your weight is shifted farther back cuz you're not laying over the tank. I love my bars!!!!!
