r6 clipons

ok i've searched and read about flippin the clipons. but i am officially lost. i have an 05 r6 and wanted to know from other 03-05 r6 owners on how you flipped your clipons. see when i tried to do mine it looked like a v not close to being straight. or am i missing something. this is what i did. i took off all necessary things before taking of the clipons. once i took the clip ons i just flipped them. i think im missing something. can you r6 owners help me out. would also like to see pic of the flipped clipons on r6's.

Re: r6 clipons

i've been practicing in the lots and the reason i asked was because my buddy let me use his 03 kawi 636 with the flipped clipons and they were real comfortable compared to my r6 clipons.

Re: r6 clipons

stock R6 clip-ons break out of the blue, so i highly suggest buying after market clip-ons and having your buddy help install them for you.

but anyways your suppose to use the right side clip-on on the LEFT side and do not use the centering bolt... some times u have to grind tabs off to let you push them out..

Re: r6 clipons

those are "stuntme" clip-ons, you can find em on ebay for arround $100 new from stuntme ebay store. any aftermarket clip-on set is better then stock, just amke sure they have no more then a 7 degree angle or you'll kill your wrist. i like 5 degree angle clip-ons which i think woodcraft sells. its all preference and you'll get use to what ever..
