looks like in a couple cases you were about at balance point but in most cases your chopping the throttle the minute you get close......as far as slow **** man idk what to tell you. Go out turn your idle up and try snapping it up from a stop straight to balance point and control it with the rear brake.....you will either get it or you will loop theres really no in between.

I see a wrecked ZX-10 in your future.

I don't hear any break load on the motor.

you not doing to bad man....i would be happy with that for now until you get that other bike....if your not going to get another bike, keep it in mind that you going to crash it learning the brake cause you wont hit it when you really need it the first time, or probably the second time...just try a be smoother on the throttle that come with time tho....and wear a helmet...

I think when you get a new "stunt" bike you are going to be humbled because you will find that you will have to wheelie the bike and it won't wheelie you. The power dangler was the scariest thing in the video in my opinion.

Re: Trying to learn slow stuff on a zx10r

ya, it takes tons of practice. the problem definately isn't the zx10. don't complain about the power.....it'll be fine. it just takes time, slow stuff doesn't just happen over night. be safe and keep practicing.

You say the bike isn't the problem... but you got to admit
it isn't the easier bike to learn onto, though
a ZX-10R isn't actually the smoothest-engined bike around..

Re: Trying to learn slow stuff on a zx10r

hey thanks for the input i am getting mixed singals thou

the bike is wheeliing me????

either bp or loop why is that???

you all are right about chopping the throttle and that is because i find it almost inpossible to hit that back break!!! I even bent the break lever out so i could reach it better and no luck! But your right i get to almost bp and then let off then chase it, every now and then i can get it to hold out when i can get the throttle just right it will carry at a nice pace!

I think my other problem is i dont want to loop so i just let off you know, i was thinking maybe a 12 bar but man if i hit it i will be going fast and thats prolly not good but i also thought i could get on the bike at 12 oclock and see what it is like so i know where it is you know, is there a way i can get that bike to 12 without the bar? any ideas?

Another thing i have been noticing is body position play a huge part! if i stand up stright tall and look at the front wheel i notice the bike is smoother and more stable along with more stable and not chasing as much but its so hard for me to get that position for some reason???

i donno guys i will work on a newer video and maybe closer stuff so you can see better but i know i need to just pratice and learn that break and find 12 oclock and i think i would be better off???

Hey go to myspace page for pics of me in the air maybe you all might notice sumthing there???? check it out and thanks

Re: Trying to learn slow stuff on a zx10r

a ZX10 is a big bike to do slow stuff. find someone with an F4i stuntbike and ask to ride it...you'll see a HUGE difference!

My buddy Ryan bought Greg Sunday's F4i and has been stunting with me, kids got *****, doing FMX and **** like that, and has picked things up nicely in a matter of weeks!!!!! He also has his baby at home, a burnt orange 2004 ZX10, he said he won't even try to idle his 10, and is actually selling it now since he never rides it anymore!

He's single, so I told him to keep the 10 to pick up B-dubs, but he's selling it anyways I guess. I would suggest gettin a stuntbike and keeping ur 10 minty.

I could honestly see you destroying a sweet ZX10 trying to just catch idle....OR you could keep it clean and as a highway killer and find out that a 636 or F4i would be easier to learn on....pick up the skills on the stunter, then transfer those skills to the 10 for some highway coasters.

not that I would condone running from the popo, but on a ZX10......it would be pretty damn easy to get away! My 954 made games outta it! lol

Re: Trying to learn slow stuff on a zx10r

true but i dont have money to buy one now so i am screewed and i really wanted to learn that break this yr sense we only got a mo or so

???i was just watching my videos and i notice i chop out okay so insted of choppin out on the throttle what should i do???? in real good details would be great!!!

my buddy has a gsxr 600 06 cages, subframe, 12 bar, geared over 15 maybe i will ask him to try it out sense he said the bike wont get hurt lol

check out this video to see what i am talking about and how come this time i didnt need any break nor choppin?

i want to be able to do this going 30-35mph for as long as i want before winter!!!

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/e...b00016c27a.htm

haha running from the popo on this bike is a joke lol but i forgot to flip the plate so now i got a reckless op the next day in person by the highway patrol and he didnt even get me for fleein figure that out! its all on video so give me a day to get it and you will see my 2 miles wheelie with the cop behind me the hole time dam

Re: Trying to learn slow stuff on a zx10r

go under bp where you feel confident and can keep it smooth so you don't have to concentrate so much on the throttle, then just bring it down with RB...after xxx number of times you do that, you will develop ability to use the brake...it will not be even near smooth but from there on you can try and play with bp safer and learn to be gentle on the brake...just take your time...

Re: Trying to learn slow stuff on a zx10r

for body position. lean back. dont crouch your head over the front. get some space between you and the bike it will help dampen the balance point some, sorta make it less choppy in a way. i see newb riders always leaning their head over the front of the bike, and it aint helping ya. better get used to the brake in some form or your gonna be fucked, i cant tell you how to do that. straighten your legs out maybe help ya some. trade that big monster in for somethin else. wear a helmet of course and uhh yah thats all i got.
