finally cought idle, trouble scraping
finally cought idle, trouble scraping
First, I know that i cant learn to to stunt online.
Yesterday, I finally learned how to idle wheelie and I practiced all night trying to scrape tail again and bring it back down without crashing and I can get my tail a ******* **** hair from the ground and it feels like its going over backwards and almost stalls out.
am I using too much rear brake? when I try to scrape im barely moving, is this okay or should I be using less rear brake?
any input would be appreciated, thanks

Re: finally cought idle, trouble scraping
the very first scrape i did i came in hot at around 25 miles per hour and pulled it off like a champ. this is because i absolutely knew that putting the bike in this position, things can go terribly wrong and i am not about to have that happen all because i am not ready. you must be ready, and confident as well. so come in at no less than 15 mph, bring it back 90% of the way, and when you think the bike is straight enough, drop it like its hot and throw some sparks! scrape for no more than 2 seconds, while keeping the throttle steady, then hit that brake and bring yourself back down. the reason why you are fearing the bike will stall is because it will if you are going that slow.
the only other way to scrape and then come back out of it while going that slow is to use the clutch, and thats a whole different ballgame

Re: finally cought idle, trouble scraping
Few ways to go about it, the stalling can be bad. So have some speed, either get going, get to bp, dip it back, no brake, no throttle.. You will feel it begin to loop, be sensitive on the brake, let it fal back, then grab some brake to come forward, then back on the gas, or get to bp, apply steady brake, roll on the gas.. You will hear the rpms suffocate and slow down... watch brake fade. Good luck doggy
Re: finally cought idle, trouble scraping
Being on idle isn't really the way to scrape...

+1 Nags!
I agree with Danger Dave too although coaster / scrapes are sweet as hell and go almost exactly as listed above by crtchrktrcr. Plus they lust look and sound nice! Get video itll be great to see 4 mos from now when you are killin it and can look back and see where it all started!
