Re: How To Do a Burnout?

its really simple. 10 easy steps

1. stop and get balance
2. pull in clutch and pop into first gear
3. slam on front break
4. rev up the motor
5. release the clutch
6. DO NOT let go of the front break
7. hear the revs climb as the tire spins
8. grab the clutch
9. release throttle
10.done

Ya I believe he was the one that started talking **** first,..... "Thats your ******* tire retard". I just simply told that guy who disrespected me that he was wrong, it wasn't my tire that was burning it was my clutch. I KNOW this because I was looking AT my tire.

And I didn't know how to delete the second post, not like i did it on purpose or anything.

Re: How To Do a Burnout?

Start by getting familiar with it
having your back wheel on some slippery surface ( E.G.: gravel, dirt, wet pavement )
get used to feel the bike crouching as you dump the clutch,
later you'll get on dry asphalt and will burn the tire, rim and rear sprocket off your bike

Re: How To Do a Burnout?

I FINALLY did my first burnout. I did what you guys told me....just rev it to 8-9 and dump the clutch. i tried it on sand at first and it spun really easy so i tried it on some asphalt and i still got it to spin right off the bat. one time though the bike jump like 4 inches off the ground and i smashed my ***** right into the tank.....like really really bad. I almost dropped my bike because i couldnt get the kickstand down fast enough when i was fallin off the side of the bike in pain. it was thus far the worst experience i had on a motorcycle. but ya i was wondering if i reved it to like 10-12 rpm, would the back tire spin more easily or would the bike just flipped out from underneath me??? O ya when i got the hang of it, i did a semi circle lol ..it was fun.
