I'm a beginner with 06cbr1000
So I've been riding for about 8 years just started tryin the stuntin this year. I notice that a lot of the people i've recently started riding with who stunt well all have 600's. Now i can power wheelie in 1st easy but I can't keep it up to long because i run out of rpm. On the highway in 2nd same thing except i can ride it for about 10 seconds before I run out. Now I finally got the courage to try and clutch up the wheelies in 2nd on the highway, but the wheel only comes up about a foot. I want to get to the point where I can ride a steady 60-70mph wheelie for distance. I've read many of the posts and tried using the clutch advice but nothing seems to work. Sometimes I watch the tach hit 12K which is my limit and dump the clutch but it still won't go up far at all. Any advice would be appreciated.

Be careful man. Clutching is all about timing. Its 3 steps.
1) Slip the clutch (Not dump) Make sure u understand the difference between the two.
2) Give it gas
3) Let the clutch out.
Do these 3 things quickly like its all one motion. Start slow man. First gear. Just go like 5-10mph. And just give it a little bit of throttle . Just try and get the bike off the ground a few inches, then a foot. If you go for the gusto all at once your going to freak out and loop. Get a cage for your minty piece.

+1 on that ^^^..but if you have no other choice...
do the same thing that you're doing, but take baby steps.
if it only comes up a foot, and u want 2 feet, u just gotta rev it more before dumpin the clutch.
..and cover the back brake...if u feel u are going too high, just give it a very small tap and it'll bring u right back down.

12k rpms and a 1000 don't mix well
are you trying to clutch it up at 60mph??
roll in second at 20mph and start with a lower rpm and work your way up
and cover the brake

Re: I'm a beginner with 06cbr1000
you gotta lot of good advice on here....but look at the bike that are on this forum....some are gangster but the majority are beat up and it's because when you are learning you are probably going to crash at some point. and if you get a beat up 600, you still have to up keep it, if you brake a clip on you aren't riding until you fix it....so it get expensive. thats why you should take it slow. usually the faster you are going to more hurt you are going to get...just keep that in mind
