stand up wheelies are very hard to get use too but once you get them they are so much more comfortable .........

im slightly over 6'5", and I felt the same way...yes they are little bit weird at first, and I was aware, but I still thought it was even weirder for tall ppl...but after you get used to it it's much better than sitdown...

Re: too tall needs help!!

I was keeping general count of the number of launches (when I went to stand ups (after many years of sitdowns only))

as i recall...it took between 1000 and 2000 launches...till i started feeling comfy...and till the set downs got gentler (your timing and absorbtion of the setdowns will get better too)

on average i get about 100 launches an hour in.... So it could take hours of practice till you start feeling comfortable....BUT ...Just like those stunt veterans said ...stand ups are sweet once you get 'em !

Re: too tall needs help!!

i feel the key to learnin standups is body position. being taller ur normal body position makes u wanna lean more on the front of the bike..so just lean back. im a big motha ****** too this is what helped me. try it out.
