howdy yall, this here squid just bought his first stunt bike its an 02 f4i. i can clutch it up no prob but have a hard time keeping the tire in the air cuz im choppy with the throttle. just wondering if it would make wheellies easier if i adjusted the idle, right now im running with 1700 rpm or so on stock gearing. what you all have idle set at?.

 

you dont need to worry about the idle yet. that has nothing to do with a choppy throttle hand. seat time is what youy need

 

keep your idle where its at.. Try clutching it up 10,000 more times and then tell us how your choppiness is. Practice = Guaranteed results. Be safe. Good luck

if you decide to turn up your idle you will absolutely need to know how to use your rear brake in a wheelie ...if not you will be looping your ****

idle doesn't help unless you are ON IDLE. if you are at 6 grand then your idle at 1000, 2000, 2500, 1500, any of that, you won't notice because your throttle is above that.
