Clip-ons over triple.
Clip-ons over triple.
Been thinking of putting my clip-ons on top of the triple, just wondering if what effect this will have on my handling. Seen it on a few bikes where it looked like there was barely enough tube through to hold on the clip-ons.

Re: Clip-ons over triple.
which bike?
raising your fork tubes in the triples changed the geometry a lot. it will cause teh bike to lean forward making it more twitchy and unstable. to an extent this is ok for quicker turning, but usually we adjust in MM, so if you move it 1/2-3/4" you are moving it way too much and will upset the bike. it'll tank slap easier and just won't be fun.
i never recommend doing it.
bikes with the clip ons made on top are made that way, so it's ok.
