wheelie help?

Sorry if this is a repost but....

Ive been riding for a little and i dont have a problem clutching up the bike and doing foot wheelies but i was wondering how guys get it up on the highway going like 50 mph? do they just give it full throttle or what? If some one could help me out id appreciate it.

If it means anything im riding a 06 cbr f4i all stock except the after market zip tie holding on the fairings!

you have to pop the clutch and bounce it as your releasing the clutch... Easier to do them on a 1000 or 750, but they can be done on a 600..

But do yourself a favor and try learning wheelies at a slower speed so you dont mess yourself up to bad when u crash..

Re: wheelie help?

on a 600 you have to give it a bit of a bounce to bring it up in 2nd gear

uhhh. practice! try this, and if it dont work try that, and if that dont work then go back to the drawing board and try something else.

I think everyones missing the obvious! YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS DOING HIGHWAY WHEELIES

go to a parking lot and learn to control 1st. if/when you get 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th depending on the gearing you go to will all come easily!!

from what you said you doing a wheelie at 50+ is begging for an accident.

Straighten out your legs in that SS, it feels much better. I have to tell myself to do it.

Yeah, I'm where you are at with them . I was supposed to go to a bigger lot on Sunday so I could get comfy riding them out for a longer distance but it rained . I want to lock them down.

Re: wheelie help?

+1 on learning first gear first. but, if it tickles your fancy, put it in second, get hard on the gas to put the weight on your back wheel, and slip the clutch while opening the throttle all the way. your bike will jump right up

Re: wheelie help?

no, you're not sorry. if you were you wouldn't have posted it.

it's not a repost, it's a trillionth post

the only way to learn is to practice. we need to make a sticky: "how to learn to wheelie" and just put a post that says "if you are reading this you are not practicing, therefore you will suck, go practice"
