what rpm to rev up to?

what rpm to rev up to?

hi im new to the boards, and am trying to hold wheelies. what am i doing wrong ive been clutching it at like 9-10k while going 4-5k rpms. the bike doesnt come up very high, just keep adding throttle till it gets higher to balance? i can clutch and hold it for a little bit in 1st but not 2nd gear haha whats wrong with me

nothin is wrong with you, your jus a squid


dont worry about 2nd gear right now, just stick to 1st. get yourself in a parking lot and work on clutchin up 1st gear from around 5-10mph at most....if you are stock geared on a F4 then you are prolly in the ball park as far as clutchin it from 10k ish.....not quiet sure, but when I had my 600rr stock geared I used to clutch 1st up from around 9-11k rpms.....part of the reason for this is your body position is prolly really far forward and your subconciously scared of it comoing up...the more you relax and transfer your wieght the less you will have to rev it to!!! just work on feelign out the wheel coming up and get your clutching smoother....all will come in time man no worries remember if it were easy everyone would be rockin highchairs and no one would care
