Re: 07 gsxr wheelie problems

the 07 gsxr came with a horizontal axis rate of change sensor....basically when the plane of the bike changes drastically i.e. in a wheelie the ecu will automactially cut back fuel and lean out the bike so the front returns to the ground.....my advice is go on a suzuki forum and try and find out how to disable it

good luck

Re: 07 gsxr wheelie problems

Yeah, I can only get my 06 600 up in second at about 6k and having a prob getting them high. These things are a pain in the *** to get up.

Have any of you riden the 06 and got a sitdown up at that speed?

Re: 07 gsxr wheelie problems

ok, I rode an 07 750 and had the same problem. Dont let these stuck up stunt ****** get you down man they are all just jelous because theyre stuck ridding clapped out dinosaur era F4i's...

You nailed it on the head though man im surprised, the bikes factory pipe with all that smog crap on it limits the horsepower and wont let you pull it up its also too heavy and with the catalytic converter that far forward its weighing you down. Suzuki had to cut back the 07 GSXR 750 because there were too many complaints by the police of people breaking the 190mph mark, they have a law that says a bike can only do like 180 stock and suzuki ignored that in 06. They got in a lot of trouble and had to switch the 07 up. They put an exhaust valve in to limit power and its actually a 699cc if you read the advertising close you will see that.

To fix your problem your going to have to trade your bike for an 06 750 to get the extra 50cc and the extra horsepower. Or you can deristrict your bike, get a full titanium Akropovic system, not a slip on. that will get rid of that pesky exhaust valve, youll need a high flow air filter and a power comander to get the full 15HP gain off the exhaust though. You can put a lighter wheel on it too, or take 1 brake rotor and caliper off to shave weight off drag racers do it all the time, dont worry it wont effect your endos. If you do all that the bike will come up just by twisting the throttle. The front wheel will come up around 60 and will set down about 120MPH.

Hope this helps bro! SICK RIDE by the way...

Good luck.

Re: 07 gsxr wheelie problems

Aaron you make great points i totally forgot about that ****.....if you do go with a full system make sure you buy a custom map for the power commander and run 109 octane fuel otherwise you'll run shitty as fawk and no wheelies for you. I would recommend talking with your dealer and deff get that full acropovic system **** man I bet if you got that done you'd be pickin the tire up in 4th and settin it down at like 150ish with easy....no clutching or any of that stupid ****!!

Re: 07 gsxr wheelie problems

i think you'll all find that a lack of Nitrous Oxide is the reason you can't pull that baby up, i have a friend who has NOS all up on his honda cub c70 and that thing wheelies all day, go to your local tuning firm and as them about NOS for wheelies, IT REALLY WORKS

Good luck bro.

-Carl (i'm saving up for a turbo BUSA to wheelie everywhere)
