Wheelies = reckless driving to the cops. I just ride until the cops show up, and then I give them the respect they want to hear. That's the big thing about cops. They try to sound tough, cause they want to hear how much respect you have for their authority. I just give it to em, and usually they just tell me to take the bike home.

But... you're on a sportbike.

Um, yeah! Naw seriously man, u gotta let ya ***** swell up a lil bit....You'll be suprised how easy it will come up when u really don't mean for it to. This happens b/c u actually put forth more effort by accident but it works. Like me, I remember back when I would be like "man, **** it..its not working so I'm just gonna clutch it and gas it w/o getting off and see what happens..." or I would say "Man, I'm just gonna keep standing this time, **** it...its ***** to the wall" and sure enough it will do just what I wanted it to do...But never let ur ***** swell up faster than they can shrink...which means when ur out trying keep the respect for the bike so that when it feels TOO uncomfortable ur ***** can shrink enough for u to have sense to ease up and let it back down....It takes time man...I'm still a noob and I know that....l

NOOOO I have not rode one for a mile yet, but want to do so by the end of the day!!! I know this is not going to happen though. I have a concert to go to tonight and will get after it first thing after work on Thursday. Only 20 to 30 feet so far and we are not talking about my johnson!

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

I have a quick question. Now I know not to do power wheelies anymore, but I was doing them the other night to impress my friends.(don't hate) Well, I got one going pretty fast and when I came down at the end of my road and had to stop, I heard a bunch of grinding clicking and the bike was not in gear! I had to pull in my clutch and nail the breaks and almost wrecked. Any clue of what happened to my gears? Now when I came down, I came down pretty hard and it felt like the chain was slipping over the sprockets. Any clue? Ever heard anything like that? REAL SCARRY

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

Yeah that happens when you beat your bike. Duh.

When I rode the 150 dirtbike, I pretty much mashed second gear to nothing. Had to sell it before it really became noticeable.

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

Is it Dead? I have heard this twice now and it's not a comfortable feeling! Can't I just get new sprockets and chain or possibly new clutch friction pads? Or am I just trashing my bike and need to stop wheeling? I don't wanna!!!

Could it be that my chain is too loose?

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

If it sounded like grinding clicking, where did you hear it from? Sounds like your transmission?

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

maybe nothing man....let me ask you when you came down where you on the rear brake and the throttle??? if so sometimes you get some back lash cuz think about it...if your gassin it then your tryin to spin the tire but if your on the brakes as well your tryin to stop the tire. if you mashed a gear and went out riding right now YOU WOULD KNOW!!! trust me i garentee ive had what your talkin about before jus a lil clicking cracking kinda noise like chain noise or whatever!!

check your chain though and look to make sure you got all the teeth on your sprocket! just to be on the safe side

Re: Problems getting it up in 2nd

It sounded and felt like it was comming from the chain but can't be for sure! See, when I need to stop really fast, I stop with the front and back break and let the gear wind down some, and when I came down off this wheelie, it jumped out of gear( I think)
