Using stock clip ons ???

i was thinking about just grinding of the tabs that hold my stock clip ons in that position they are (stock) (the tabs that keep it in place on the triple) and moving them strighter with the triple and then just make em nice and tight.... good idea or not??? its a mighty f3

do you think b/c the tabs aren't there its not gonna hold? think of it like this- aftermarket clip-ons don't have that tab, ive had no problem with them coming loose
just make sure theyre noice and toight

just did an f3 like that about two weeks ago , and my 636 had a bolt to hold it in place so i took out the bolt and have never had the clipon move...

1 bolt in each stock clip-on

2-4 bolts in each aftermarket clip-on

thats why i started to think twice about that damn tab

did you put the clip ons horizontal with the triple or what spot did you put em in?

perfectly staraight out is hard on your wrist , set them so your wrist are in a good comfortable position

ive got stock 636s switched flipped and half on the fork...holds like a champ(f4i 929/54 front)

actually my woodcraft clipons only have 1 bolt that secure them in place

been trying to get ahold of some used/cheap 41mm but no one has any.... i dont want any thing new im learning and good at f'in some **** up...

i turned my f4i stockers out awhile ago havent move a inch and been dropped on both sides hard, i have a 905 so they rolled up ont he clipons

Just make sure you snug em up good, loctite em if your worried about it.

i got the new 905 cage and its monsteris... but im about to grind the tabs of mine this week... tired of busting my knees on spreads
