landing SS

tried my first SS tonight....first had one leg on the RB and the other on the seat, the bike started going sideways as i clutched it.

so i put both feet up...OMG...the bike comes up SOOOO much nicer and smoother :YEAH

brought it up, rode it out for a while, then landed it, it almost threw me off in front of the bike....i quit after the 3rd landing....it was killing my wrist.

except ofcourse gasin it as it comes down....

r there any other methods that u guys use for a smooth landing?

Re: landing SS

i finally started rockin SS's agAIN yesterday, i found it hella more comfy to stand slouth footed(both feet pointing outward slightly.), instead of both feet together, and rockin on the tippy toes.

and landing is just a general rule of thumb, to keep some rpm's in reserve to soften the landing.

Re: landing SS

gas it on the way down like roger said and also pull in the clutch after the front tire is down. it helps relieve the engine brake so you don't go catapulting over the front

Re: landing SS

I do locked legs for idle, but for anything else it's bent.

when putting it down, squat down and give it a handful of gas, as soon as the front tire touches I do a little hop towards the gas tank and down onto the pegs.

poetry in motion
