Try standing staggered, with your left foot back, right foot covering the brake. When you're first starting out, sitdowns always feel like you're gonna loop when it first comes up, even though you have a LONG ways till you actually will. When standing, this feeling is greatly deminished. Try applying a little rear brake as you clutch it up. Knowing that you can save yourself from looping with the RB, gives a nice sense of security.

Find the biggest sprocket for that 600, take ALL of your fairings off, including uppers with light, go find an industrial park somewhere in Illinois, and stay there for about 3 months.

IMO stay off the streets for now, bro,edit:: (in regards wheelies) itlll only be to your benefit, both in skill and life safety.

IMO, I'ld keep learning w/ stock gearing. I'm learning myself, went up 12 teeth, and the gearing definetly makes me even choppier.....02 cents...

Right on, seriously though bro, the cost of gearing, and your time to remove your fairings, is much cheaper than replacing everything, feel me?

This is true, I know for my 954 the +12 was WAY choppy, but in turn since he's riding a 600, I know the taller gearing shouldnt be TOO choppy...Me being a 220lb rider, my 64t almost seems nessesary for my f4i, lol...

Re: my squid wheelies *vids*

heard it's because the rr is taller & the engine is a few inches closer to the front compared to other bikes

Re: my squid wheelies *vids*

im gonna tell u wat others have told me.

practice and try to get used to staggered.

BUT

if you're doin sit-downs....lean back and straighten out your arms.

and always cover the rear break.

I've got an R6 and I'm -2/+2 and that is enough... its not too choppy but responsive enough for 2nd gear wheelies. +1 on the fairings I learned that the hard way.
