Dual caliper or Gp tech adapter

For my handbrake i already have the gp tech adapter and it's running off one master cylinder and one caliper. But i also have the dual caliper bracket on my bike so i am able to just throw a long *** brake line on there and have two master cylinders to two different calipers. Anyway which is better dual caliper set up or gp tech adapter (which is what i'm already running). I can already ride slow wheelies but on my seat standers it just feels like there's a delay in the adapter set up. I dunno what do you guys think???

Re: Dual caliper or Gp tech adapter

bleed it better and put a small line to connect the two calipers you will double your friction surface on the rotor and you will increase the feel at the hand brake all good things.....

Re: Dual caliper or Gp tech adapter

by feel i mean you won't have to pull as hard on the hand brake and the lever will feel softer because of the extra caliper...

Re: Dual caliper or Gp tech adapter

I'm confused? How would you run a line to work both rear calipers? Pics would be great!!

Re: Dual caliper or Gp tech adapter

run the same set up you have now just add aline to connect the two calipers so they work with the foot or hand brake.....

it will be almost like having a bigger stronger caliper like this

Re: Dual caliper or Gp tech adapter

add a longer banjo bolt to the first caliper hook up a line to it that will then go to the second caliper......done

Re: Dual caliper or Gp tech adapter

like a two line banjo bolt running into one caliper and then from that line to the rear (rear) caliper? I'm pretty sure i might have tried that already and didnt work but it probably wasn't bled right

Re: Dual caliper or Gp tech adapter

it will work just open the bleeders and the resivour and pump till you get fluid coming out of the first one

then cover that bleeder with your finger and pump till you get fluid from the second one

and then put your finger over both bleeders and pump untill you go thru at lest two full resivour worth of fluid ,your fingers will let the fluid out and not let air in ....

doing it this way doesn't give any air bubbles time to float back up hill like when doing the old school pump pump open technic

you may need a person to pump for you if you cant reach the hand brake cause thats where you need to pump it from don't even touch the foot lever while bleeding it just use the hand brake

Yea i gotta dual caliper bracket i'm just trying to figure out if i should do the 2 line/2 master cylinder system or 1 line going into the adapter then another going to the caliper and then another going to the other caliper it's kinda confusing but i understand it, it just sounds like a bitch to bleed right

Re: Dual caliper or Gp tech adapter

bleedinng the dual caliper.... Bleed it with the master right side up , then flip it over once it's bled.

but the point of the dual caliper is to have two seperate rear braking systems. your making it complicated the hand master feeds the second caliper and the foot master feeds the first original caliper. u said u understand but your confusing yourself. having two seprate calipers will make it easy to bleed this is why i sold my FI adapter. hard as **** to bleed and if i used the foot brake i would have to pump the hand brake once to get it solid again i know people wil say i didnt have it blead right but **** i blead the bitch every fucin way in the book and it just sucked plus i didnt trust it.
