Re: CIRCLES cheater bike or not
i can do circles on a fiddy but not on the big bike yet .. i tihnk the fiddys helped my brake control but circles feel compeltely different so dont really help on the big bike in that sense. if its fun do it though, its all about having fun :YEAH

Re: CIRCLES cheater bike or not
everything i learned on the 50 transfered over except circles... i can only get 1/2 around sometimes i get 1 full one.
Re: CIRCLES cheater bike or not
I love my fiddy, it's a blast to ride, and easy to learn new tricks on. But it is also the Rodney Dngerfield of bikes...you'll get no respect.
I can hop on the pit bike and ride all sorts of combo's, or circles, whatever. And average people will stand around looking unimpressed(until they ride it).
Then I can hop on the big bike and ride the gayest power whellie or something and blast by them at 80 and they love it? weird.
I guess this some common knowledge that big bikes are more challenging, if not at least more impressive.
I even heard someone call it a "cheater bike"
I got all my slow stuff down on a fiddy, and then geared the big bike. It was not the same at all for me. If anything, I at least learned how to crash better practicing on the fiddy!
Definately easier on the wallet, I think is also the idea.

Re: CIRCLES cheater bike or not
learning circles on my ttr actually hurt my circles on my 636...
its very different because of how drastically body position will affect the circle on a dirtbike and also that on a dirtbike you basically do the circle on throttle only, whereas on the streetbike its basically brake only.

Re: CIRCLES cheater bike or not
just get out there and keep practicing, youll get em on the big bike. if youre having a hard time try foot in the bar or SS (if youre good with the HB). dont be afraid to gas it if youre coming out of the circle after 1/2
Re: CIRCLES cheater bike or not
i started on the 50 and learned break control then went to the street bike and tried circles but couldnt get it at first. then i jupmed on a 70 and got better at my balance doing circles and went back to the big bike and now im much smother coming into my circles. i cant do them well on the big bike but i dont crash as much now.
Re: CIRCLES cheater bike or not
NO HB yet, i am gettin 180's just tryin to get comfy enough to gas it i am going in on idle and braking around, just doing staggered and kinda sit downs a little to, i have heard some guys took three weeks to start gassing it
Re: CIRCLES cheater bike or not
people call my f4I a cheater bike or the f4easy, but I learned how to circle on the big nasty 93 900RR, learn how to do them on that bike and you got skills. then it all just transferred to the f4I but way better and way more controlled. if you don't have any bike skills at all the 50 can teach balance and a little throttle control.
