1/no handers . bars turn too quick, any ideas?

This is probably a stupid question, but .. I can get idle, i can loosen my grip on the throttle so ive got no throttle on, no probs.. but as soon as I take my hand(S) off the bars they turn real quick which is very off putting and I usually mess up right after.. I'm doing it left foot on seat and im good enough at idle to let off of the throttle completely, its just taking my hands off thats causing the prob.

do i need a steering damper? or am i doing something wrong? I've watched Da Liks vid about 100 times and his bars dont turn in so quick when he lets go ive got renthal bars if that makes any diff.

By the way, I'm standing straighter and closer to the tank now than in my avatar picture so I think im pretty well supported and theres no weight on my arms any more... thats not the prob.

yea if you tighten your stearing head bearings the bars should stay where you leave them, but even if you leave it the way it is it shouldn't really matter that your bars are turned

maybe three points of contact means use your right knee on the side of the tank to steady your self

I wasnt turning the bars in before letting go, so as soon as i let go the bars turned quickly (usually left) which makes the bike turn left and i go wobbily after that and put it down.

Oh one other quesiton thought id ask here insetad of a new thread..

highsiding out of circles...

does that mean too much brake, not enough brake, too much throttle or what? the first 180 is easy but i usually highside after that.

Re: 1/no handers . bars turn too quick, any ideas?

doesn't matter too much or enough, just move the bike around u and not the opposite, put strenght on the bars so that it leans more.
And give it gas when u lean, so that it doesn't fall down into the circle

Re: 1/no handers . bars turn too quick, any ideas?

another reply on the no handers sparks!
i got a damper, so they dont turn.. when i had no damper, i turned the bars to the left before i let go. watch out tightning the stem bearing, cuz it will wear out ******* fast!!

Re: 1/no handers . bars turn too quick, any ideas?

Ok so best bet is to turn the bars left before letting go and get a damper when I can afford it.

Cheers for help everyone, and da liks make another vid soon ive watch all your current vids about 1000 times already

And tigroo, i think i need to gas it a bit more and keep the bike turned fully into the circle, i seem to go around half way then it starts trying to straighten up, i just need more practice i guess!
