R6 Stunt Clip ons

Hey guys was wondering if you could help me out with a choice for some clip ons to stunt with for my 05 R6, i do ride a lot of twisties so i dont wanna go to dirt bike bars but i need some longer clip ons for my handbrake setup, not sure what guys are using to stunt with now and at what angles, i wanna be able to ride twisties hard like usual but deffinately want a better position for stuntin and dont want bars that are completely straight. heard of the difference in angles also, what do you guys think. any help i'd appreciate, was checkinout the freestyle ingenuity bars but they are 0 degree didn't know if that would be better than vortex ones.

Re: R6 Stunt Clip ons

you dont need longer clip ons for a hand brake ,you just take off the left hand controls and put them som where else...

butttttttt r6 clipons do break under extreme use .....ie stunting....so yea get some better ones the higher the better for stunting

Re: R6 Stunt Clip ons

Take the controls off... never going to have the pimp setup with them.. better yetm either get another bike to stunt on, get another bike for the twisties, or go kill yourself. Stunt bikes are dual purpose( street stunt, lot stunt) Not for twisties.......

Re: R6 Stunt Clip ons

not sure where else i would put the controls and yeah i do need them still, i'm not trying to go full stunt n do circles and really slow stuff n whatnot, just lookin for a little better setup thats all, my bike is pimp enough i dont want it to look like a full stunter thats all beat to **** like half of the stunters out there. deffinately getting different clip ons and i've read that they can still be used for normal riding and even track days and such which i will be doing also this year, just dont wanna have to switch everything around everytime i wanna go ride hard, other than tire pressure idc about, but i want an all around setup, not just full stunt.

Re: R6 Stunt Clip ons

so u're not doing slow stuff... so u don't need a hb at all.. it's called throttle control, invest in it.

Re: R6 Stunt Clip ons

yea thats the new cool thing to say but its nice to have the hand brake there .........just incase
and once you have it you will do slow ss,spreaders, highcairs instead of just 40 50 mph

Re: R6 Stunt Clip ons

lol.ok but you know what im saying if you have a hand brake you will dbe able to go slow easier...

i was doing slow ss, spreader and stuff with out the hand brake but once in a while i would hit the bar going a little too slow and would have to do some real scary scrapes till i was ready to jump off ...once i got the hand brake it was nothing to hit the bar at any speed

Re: R6 Stunt Clip ons

with no hand brake you just have to keep your rpm's high ....

the engine brake will take you back off the bar if your going fast enough...

i still hit it some times with out using the brake but like i said its nice to know the brake is there

Re: R6 Stunt Clip ons

i can already do SS to spreaders and highchairs for as long as i want and i do wanna slow down to an extent but i dont wanna slow down completely, i just want it to be safer just incase ya know, i do a lot of doubles ridin doin highchairs and spreaders and such with my girl on back and i want it more for the safety of her than me. but i'd like to scrap a tail and add a 12 bar and i deffinately want the handbrake to keep at one speed much easier.

what degree are the vortex ones that one of you said you were using flipped upsidedown? and if they are flipped upsidedown wouldn't they point up instead of down at all?

Re: R6 Stunt Clip ons

doing that **** with your girl on the back is just not smart ....but yea if your gonna then def get a hand brake but only use it when your engine brake isnt bringing you back..
other wise you will over heat the brake and the you will flip it going 50 becase you will be counting on the brake

Re: R6 Stunt Clip ons

well stuntin isn't smart any way you look at it, not my fault she loves it just as much if not more than i do. deffinately use a lot of engine breaking for everything now just want the handbrake there for extra safety for both of us you know.
