Re: BP crap

hollisterdude? you gotta be kidding me, but im gonna answer despite your gay *** name. youre gonna have to go slightly behind bp and use engine brake or rear brake to keep it a steady speed. just keep practicing if youre up in the RPM's youd be surprised how far back you can go and come back down by letting off the throttle. just keep practicing.

Yep, hes right, Im finally starting to get to BP I think, and I noticed you dont really need the RB at all to come back down, all I ever do is decrease the throttle a little. Probably because like he said, high rpms, Im running at like 9000-10000 when it sounds like my rpms stop climbing.

I guess RB is there just in case you really get in a bad situation? So far, I havent needed it but maybe once or twice when I felt like I was way behind where I should be.

Uhh...if u dont need ur rear brake ur not at BP...if u get to BP and just let off the throttle alot of the times you'll just hang there for a second...i suggest bringin it up ridin the rear brake a lil..have it come to about where u want it tap rear brake and then gas it to bring it back a lil farther and just play wit brake/throttle.

Re: BP crap

Why would it fry my motor?

soo right before you hit bp your gonna start getting on the back brake and then when it feels like your gonna tip you give it more and ride it like that if your at bp you dont need any throttle but if you have engine braking how do you keep it up?

a) v-twins dont like wheelies
b) use punctuation so we can understand the question. but in order to ride a balanced wheelie youre going to have to be contstantly accelerating and braking in small equal amounts.

the bike doesnt stay up magically, its a game of minor adjustments, when you see videos of really good riders it looks llike they are just keeping the wheel at the same height but if you look closely youll see it moving up and down.

Re: BP crap

I know.... Here you go.
http://https://www.stuntlife.com/for...ad.php?t=72156

Here's a quote:
Balancing the wheelie from front to back
Balancing front to back is controlled by using the throttle and rear brake. It is a good idea to learn this on a quad, fiddy, or dirtbike first. If the wheelie is in front of the balance point, you must increase your speed to remain at that position. To get the wheelie back to the balance point, you must compensate with more throttle. This is the same, only in reverse, when the wheelie is behind the balance point. When behind the balance point, you must use the engine breaking/ rear brake to bring it forward to the balance point. The balance point is the position of the bike in which it neither has to speed up or slow down to remain at the same position. The height of the balance point is affected mainly by the speed of the wheelie. The faster the wheelie is, the lower the balance point. The balance point is also slightly affected by the weight distribution of the bike and the position of the rider. The object of riding a balanced wheelie is to keep the bike as close as possible to the balance point. This is done by rolling on and off the throttle, and pushing the brake if needed. With practice comes the ability to ride a smooth wheelie with out playing with the throttle/brake much.

LOL, I thought the same thing as I was clicking this thread, and someone already called him on it, good job! fancypants14 would have been just as good a name

but really though, you should be hitting your rear brake even when you're not at bp, just to get a feel and reflex for it. You don't need it to ride bp, or even slow down a little bit if you have good throttle control. You can make minor adjustments with the throttle to keep it in bp.
