Coasters..

So I Went out yesterday and learnd coasters 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear.. whopty doo there not hard at all and i was blessed with the bad habbit of revving everytime i do a coaster. I mean its like hey my clutch is in so ima rev like a ruff rydar.

well anyways whats the secrete with rev matching and continueing the whoolie right before u run out of momentum. I can do coasters and not rev at all which is what i plan on doing when i try to continue on from a coaster with out setting it down. So yeah do I just gotta go for it and ease into the rev with the clutch?

Re: Coasters..

when you let the clutch out again, let it out real slow. you'll be able to feel what the bike wants to do from just a little bit of clutch friction.

Yeah, once you start to let the clutch out, the bike will give you pretty good input on how much gas to give.

Re: Coasters..

the way i do it is slightly rev it right when i dip below bp, and kinda feather the clutch out.. as long as you're not ripping on the gas it should be pretty smooth, jason u're fvckin coordinated, u should have no problem

Re: Coasters..

nah u don't rev it much, unless u're goin fast, if you're goin slow, u just rev a little, and sometimes idle even picks it up for you.. you'll feel it when u do it

Re: Coasters..

i can tell by the speed most the time what sort of rev's i need. never be scared of under reving it cuz you can just gas it and catch it on the brake agein. better that way then over reving it and loopin

if you go for rev limiter coasters, try and do them early in the coaster so the revs drop by time you let the clutch out:YEAH
