Stoppies

In terms of stoppies, are steal braided brake lines really necessary? i see most the hardcore stunters round here rockin' the front and rear lines including a HB line in SB. worth the money?

Re: Stoppies

went out, tonight, and did some stoppie filming...doing way better, was only my second go at 'em....do i need to adjust my forks to be stiffer cuz i like having them kind of soft so i can bounce second gears, and dont have to worry about it if i accidently slam a whoolie down....

Re: Stoppies

I run mine a little stiffer on compression and drop the rebound 2 clicks from stock. Preload 4 lines showing. That's just me. Anyone else?

Re: Stoppies

I dont really pay attentiom any more to the number of clicks ,I just keep them both adjusted as stiff as possible , and your gonna slam the front end down from wheelies out of the blue every now and then anyways , just keep an eye out for fluid on your forks. I always make sure my fork seals are proper , if not you could get the wobbles while rollin em out I had it happen @ like 50 ,not fun. Oh and why do U bounce it second? just clutch it son..

yeah ,I dont think ive ever bounced or know how to bounce, if you mean push down on the forks to get like rebound then gassing it , then no. youre clutch is more predictable ,after a while you will know how much to slip it to pop up to BP. (,just keep your rearbrake covered , at first u might feel like your really far back ,just keep an eye on youre front forks when their level w/ ground youll know your at BP.)

what i've been told is you need to bounce the bike and then slip the clutch...ill go out and try and just slip it really high and see what happens...dunno why i havent tried that LOL. i dont do the pow pow wheelies ne more, thank god.

ne way, front forks, parellel to the ground...good little references point for trying to figure out hor far back i am, thanx ! :YEAH!
