Burnout Troubles
Burnout Troubles
I'm having trouble with burnouts. On my cbr 954 i have no problems, but on my f4i stunt bike the front tire slide across the ground. I've tried leaning my weight forward but it hardly helps. What else should I try???
Re: Burnout Troubles
Proper Burnouts are technique! Roll in about 15 Mph F Brake Like a Stoppie for a sec, feel the weight shift down on the front then Gas/Clutch....Your rear wheel will break free and than use the brake and throttle, steer to control the bike. There is more but you will get the Idea after a little practice...Plus make sure you have decent pressure in the tire 20 lbs - 25. and it's not like a race take off.
Re: Burnout Troubles
here's my two cents, and what i've learned
used to have and randomly have rear wheel hop when doing burnouts.....= too low rpm on tire, not enough pressure in tire and it's grabbing
front tire slippage...... not too much trouble in this department, but when it does happen, check air pressure (20-25---was already said) and i'll usually roll a few stoppies to warm the tire...............and usually good to go.
the surface has some to do with it too, sealed pavement usually means it's pretty slick so likely to happen............ that's about the jist of it in my book
