Hey guys I have a 1999 ninja 500r and I wanted to see if anybody out there has or is stuntin one. I now its a terrible bike to use, but I figure its old and its not to nice to look at so why not have fun with it. I figure I would put a single sided exhaust on it and slap on a bigger sprocket in the rear and a wider tire(150 is as big as I can go) and see what she'll do. If any body has had experience with modifying these bikes to stunt please give me as much info as possible. The more suggestiona and help I can get the better. I was thinking about getting a newer better bike, but I'm getting sent to Korea for a year(thx2theUSAF)and I didnt want to buy a new bike before I left, so I figured I would work with what I got until I leave. Thx for the help in advance.

go for it......u got nothing to lose and i have seen pretty much everything stunted incuding a ex250 so the 500 can't be that bad

 

Thanks man...i figured what the hell it might be fun and it would be a good starting point. i would just need to do alittle modification before I started. I just need to figure out how many teeth I need to go up in the rear sprocket. I wanna be able to drive it on the highway and go 100+ but at the same time I want to be able to pick clutch it up rather easily. if anybody has suggestions please let me know. the gearing is 16t in the front 41t for the rear.
