2000 kawasaki zx-6r power wheelie.
2000 kawasaki zx-6r power wheelie.
Ok i did the search but came up with nothing. The only way i can get it to work is if i try about 5 times in a row and eventually it will come up to a decent hight but by then im almost at redline. Tried what i did with the f4i brining it up to about 7 grand or so and choppin the throttle only to get the same reaction. Any ideas.

sit all the way back on the seat. the 636 seems to come alive at around 8k. might also make a difference. if any of this is obvious then disregard. In the mean time here's a 2nd gear short stand up before a huge turn.
p.s. dinsmore is following me on his F4i.

no no no
clutch it up and youll be fine. i have the same bike in the avatar and thats at idle. just get rolling alittle and clutch it up and try to be smooth on the throttle. maybe give it about 1500rpm of idle to smooth it out.

Whoever says you can power up a stock f4i in second gear is lying to themselves. Mine is a 2004 with a power commander, race air filters and hindle exhaust, and it is almost impossible, even with bouncing, to power that thing up in second.
Dude, just clutch it up. Power wheelies are gay, and like you said, you usually get to the redline just as you're getting it where you want it. Even if you get it to balance point, you're going to be at open throttle to get it there, so once you hit that balance point you have the potential to loop the bike more easily. Learn to clutch it up to where you want it, and then use throttle control and the back brake to keep it at the balance point.

Re: 2000 kawasaki zx-6r power wheelie.
so... koebster... did any of this answer your question?...
originally the question was powering up a 2nd gear stock zx6... you're probably chopping it too early or not hard enough, or not pulling up hard enough or when you do- not shifting your weight back far enough... doing a sitdown trying to power it up in 2nd is just silly... I was joking around earlier, but seriously just clutch it... quit wasting your time...
when i do the stand ups it's almost like i bounce... then pull up on the bars and push down with my legs at the same time... comes right up.
