Left foot on rear peg is so much EASIER!!!
Left foot on rear peg is so much EASIER!!!
So,today after working out I decided to go out and PRACTICE like PITBULLMAN said and I still wasn't doing too well. Then I decided to use the left foot on the back peg technique some of the gdc'ers and stuntlifers suggested and man was it a difference. The first time I tried it came right up, almost scared me...The second time I rode it out for a few feet. By the 5th try I was going about a block. I was like, damn this is so much easier (Im sure b/c of the weight transfer). I wasn't clutching it up though, just giving it some gas and it was up and going. I did notice that after having it up my left knee was still bent a little, so I need to probably lock it out. Now I just have to add some distance and height (b/c it wasn't up that much, maybe 9 o'clock) But I still want to learn to do it with both feet on the front rearsets. Thanks to everyone that gave the pointers! I love this site!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:YEAH

Yeah, wrong choice of words. I meant to say straighten my knee, not lock it out..Yeah, I learned about locking knees out in ROTC, never lock ur knees b/c it does make u pass out. But I still want to learn how to do a regular stand-up w/both feet on the front pegs instead of the rear...that just seems so hard an uncomfortable but Im working on it....

I just googled some info on it. it's the reason people pass out at weddings and standing at attention in the military. it's from keeping one group of leg muscles flexed and not flexing the counter muscle group causing blood to pool in the legs. apparently it takes along time for this to happen....like an hour. so I doubt its an issue in a standup. It's not like you are standing stiff as a board for an hour...like in a military or marriage ceremony.

Ive seen a pic where oen of the gaurds from britain that dont move at all and hes just asses out on the ground with like 50 more guys still standing at attention around him, no one even acknowledged he passed out except the comandant, and he was just staring.
Re: Left foot on rear peg is so much EASIER!!!
it's not just from standing up straight, but from keeping your quads flexed, like your still trying to straighten your legs when they're already as straight as they'll go
