Re: how to wheelie?

thanks everyone for the input. i read that a sitting wheelie is the best way and to not pop the clutch so should i try in a certain gear and at a certain rpm or what? i really haven't a clue and am really wanting to learn. the more input the better. thanks a lot everyone

start hanging out with the right crowd. if you ride with people who are experienced you will eventually learn a thing or two.

Read the how to wheelie sticky ... and if someone told you not to clutch it never listen to them again.

Its not that I dis agree with reading the tips or anything but I think a lot of people would agree that the only way to learn is to actually go out for a few days and just play around with your bike to figure out what it can do. try first gear put it to about 6rpm then drop it and then put it back on and feel the tire come off the ground. Play around with that becuase you got to get away from the fear of going backwards before you go further and clutching up in second and third which you will find is much smoother and easier to control. After that, its all trial and error from there, alot of trial and a shiest load of error.

Re: how to wheelie?

grow some ***** and go for it. simple enough. i've had my bike for 2 months and i'm already able to tank sit wheelie. i was able to wheelie my buddies 954 and tls1000, it's all about clutch and throttle control. my bike is my only transportation currently so i have plenty of riding time.

Re: how to wheelie?

i learned to wheelie about 5 months ago.... and the advice i have is.... JUST WRECK YOUR BIKE.. once you get over crashing, wheelies become so easy.. also get it on tape... so you can watch what you are doing wrong.
