slow 12's??

i have a 05 r6 and ive been trying slow 12's i get them back and can hold them but the bike wobbles like a ***** , i tried all different kinds of air pressure, it seems to only do it if i am staggard with left foot on the back peg, if i do it regular stance i have no problem i dont know if its the r6 or me, im bought ready to sell the damn thing its so frustrating

Re: slow 12's??

wobbles come from variety of things, I suffer from them and im finally starting to overcome them.

most important, THROTTLE control! Keep a steady throttle, that's why the brake is there! I used to go near bp get on the brake and give some throttle to put me past bp. Guess what? i ended up hitting the bar lopsided. so keep it smooth.

second, Subtle smooth body movements. If you over-compensate, the wobbles can/will be worse

confidence. be willing to fight them, if you keep putting the wheelies down when it wobbles, you will never get passed them. I crashed last year doing a 20 mph wheelie nd wobbles. then i started puttting my wheelies down when tey got wobbly, In the end, It became huge probelm of mine.

fast 12's are no problem, i can come ride centimeters from my bar at 35-55 mph, , i tried pullin in the clutch the other day to try a coaster but as soon as i pulled in the clutch the wobbles started

Re: slow 12's??

First sell the r6, but that isn't your problem. I use to have that problem your not distributing your weight evenly. Dump the clutch keep your arms out and keep your weight even between both legs. When you wobble plant both feet stay smooth on the gas/brake and lean back a bit. That should work oh and stop thinking about it. If you think your gonna wobble before you even pick the bike up your wheelie is gonna **** because your not concentrating. Also don't put it down work through it and make sure you have your idle up.

Re: slow 12's??

I would say your not smooth enough on throttle/brake, and may not have smooth body movement...

Re: slow 12's??

in my opinion wobbles come from bad throttle control. Lock your throttle wrist and control it with the brake. R6 is a good stunt bike.

One of the guys here in sac (91sicks) was killing his r6, he switched up to an f4i but the r6 is still being used. He just reinforced the subframe like no other and was good. As long as your willing to fab stuff up its cool. Dont get me wrong, if she is in good shape try to sell and get the f4i, but if thats too much trouble and your willing to stay yamaha, dont even sweat it. But yeah the f4i (for learning) is the bike to have. Keep at it, you'll get it.:YEAH

damn....thats cool. iF you got low miles you might be able to fix her up and get 5g cash money. Cop you an f4i for 3g and have 2g left. But as long as you reinforce the subframe and have a good cage, keep the r6 , it might last you past cirlces or more. Good luck bro. Post some vids of your progress, it'll help your progression.
