can anyone help me figure hout how to do a spreader when ever i get on the tank and get the front up i alwasy slide off the tank is there any way i can do it with out dentin in the tank

 

get some skateboard grip tape, or a surfer board grip. Or you can even try wearing leather race pants, lol.

 

Just commit and dent in the tank AND put griptape on it.

hang onto the bars with all your mite and clutch it up you wont slide off clutch it up a little bit then power it up the rest of te way until you consistant enough to clutch it up to bp:YEAH

dont know about you, but if i sit on my 636 (no dented tank) i can barely reach the clip-ons

you can sand the grip tape so it doesnt tear your draws as bad.

and set your idle nice and low for lots of engine brake

 

I have an 04 R6 with a almost dent free tank that is very tall. hunch your back and clutch that pig up

you can do it without denting but waaay harder, I used to lean back so im not sitting on my *** but my tailbone and strech out my arms, that way when your back are being pulled back your *** isn't...but dent in the tank...I looped highchair cuz tank wasn't dentend, my *** slipped down, pulled the throttle hand with it...

 

If you're gonna do spreaders dent the tank, otherwise keep your pretty bike pretty and just do stand-ups. Spreaders on a regular tank look aquwerd and in my opinion ghey. Do it right or don't do it at all.


...wasn't kidding about the tank danglers, looks pretty squidly.

 

what if tank is plastic?...grip tape the only way?

 

People are taking the covers off and denting the metal tanks then using a heat gun and molding the plastic.
