Went out practicing yesterday on stock gearing and it seems like I'm working the hell out of my bike just to consistently clutch second gear wheelies. Any suggestions on gear set up for this particular bike. I've been thinking -2+3.

 

u don't need gearing

 

Couldn't I pick it up easier and at slower speeds?

 

you can do it on stock gears and if you want to do slow stuff use first not second gear

 

w/ stock gearing you dont even need to clutch it to bring it to BP

 

just clutch harder.. or use first gear.. you can do slow **** on stock gearing... that's how all the cool kids do it

gsxr1000s are champ rides.. Its comes up in 4th no problem bone stock, if you have problems in second then i really wonder what you are doing wrong. Dont gear it..

 

make sure that you aren't leanin to much foward....sit back farther on the bike till you get a feel of how far back you should be!!!!!

 

I'm brand new to wheelies so I could use all the help I can get. It just seems like I'm using too much power in first pick it up, along with feeling like I'm about to be thrown off.

 

Well along with the fact that I'm just learning, there's just a little fear mixed in.

I've been trying power and clutch wheelies.

 

use the clutch.. and watch the brake... that's why your bike is wrapping out so quick, and i bet hitting limiter and ****.. use the clutch, learn bp and brake.. take your time..
