What do I need?
What do I need?
what parts are needed to make a bike easier to stunt? I mean parts such as the 12 0'clock bar...Would a bigger sprocket reduce my top speed by much? I'm running a 520/110 chain on a 16/39 sprockets. How do I compute the neccessary adjustments needed when upgrading to a bigger sprocket. What i mean is how do i determine what size chain i will need and do I have to change the front sprocket as well? What about tires what tire is better for stunting but still good for everyday riding? any help is appreciated...Thanks...
Re: What do I need?
bigger sprockets will make the bike clutch up easier but that's it. if you don't have any throttle control bigger sprockets are going to make it that much harder to be smooth. get a cage because you will fall...i personally would hold off on a 12 bar because the plastic tail is a lot more forgiving then a piece of steel.
Re: What do I need?
all you really need is a cage. You don't need any gearing to learn in first gear. and you should be learning in first on stock gears anyway...if you had an old *** carbed steel frame bike like reeff
you might want a little gearing but not with an '06 gix6. Read the sticky thread called the complete guide to learning basic wheelies at the top of this forum

a new bike, the 06's ****...
serously, all you need is a cage, dont gear it until you learn BP and rear brake well, i was a dumb @$$ and geared my bike when i was just getting usteo BP and brake and it made it so much harder to learn when you are geared - less time to play around bp to find it.
