Re: wheelie machine

look cool id love 1 for practicing stupid stuff on

think you need some kind of dyno and wld the rear spindle to the base of the truck or trailor easy concept just would cost a few $$$$$ to get every thing made and lined up properly

i would like the idea of the bike moving side to side as well if it could be done some how that would need 2 wheels spinning against each other with the bikes wheel spinning in the groove

i think it could be done easy might make 1 my self
it would be the first in the uk i recon :YEAH

Re: wheelie machine

get two drums like from a dyno for the back wheel to ride on, weld up like a triangle with a detachable rod on the tops to put through your axle so the you can mount up any bike. then you would just need a good way to create enough drag to simulate you riding but not too much drag because then you would get used to clutching it so hard and then one you got to the street you would end up on your *** real quick and maybe even just tie like a rope to the front so that you dont loop it your first couple trys.

Re: wheelie machine

someone needs to build a circle wheelie machine...
OH **** HONDA ALREADY DID F4I WOO WOO>>>>
the idea of taking a working bike and disabling it to be ridden proper like is just gay to me... the idea of a new gsxr 1000 for a wheelie machine is even worse... blowin motors not even going anywhere....

Re: wheelie machine

Ive seen the one in az,and it is a very simple machine using a single roller from or very similar to a dyno. Ive thought about making one for fun and profit. first you need a strong bracket that slides thru the rear axel(easy part)then you need something to house the large roller(hard part) as for the roller I think it could be duplicated by using a 11/2 or 2 foot diameter barrel filled with concrete(roller I think must be very heavy for inertia) it would need an axel out of each side( 1 long one or two cut ones, this is another hard part because axel must be centered)axels would ride in bearings, and one has a disc brake with a c-clamp around the pads to adjust the resistance

thats the smartest comment so far... i have found a dyno water drum on ebay, but i was wondering if their was a cheaper way.....

ohhhh and the gsxr wasn't the wheelie machine.. it's just a regular dyno that i was useing for example... the wheelie machine had a 929

Re: wheelie machine

a barrel isnt built strong enough to take that kind of abuse, you gotta reinforce the hell out of it.

Haha...I am in that video.... I know the kid who built the wheelie machine. As far as I know, he basically built everything from scratch and there has been a lot of trial and error over the last 6 months or so....
