F4i cage problems

Re: F4i cage problems
Nah nah nah...It's just a tight fit. Just loosen EVERY bolt on the cage til you can get at least every bolt to start threading... You still gotta pull that loop back and up pretty hard...just keep it all loose til everything is started...then tighten it up.

Re: F4i cage problems
i just took the bolt out of the exhaust hanger on the midpipe and that gave me enough clearence. the cage will hold up that part of the exhaust so i figuered it was no big deal.

Re: F4i cage problems
there is a notch in the exhaust, prolly a lil farther back then you have it now, that is where the loop is supposed to be at, just loosen the slider bolts out then push the loop back into that notch. its a tight fit, but thats why this cage is the best for the f4i, cause it doesnt move.

Re: F4i cage problems
For some reason Honda put two different style exhaust systems on the
F4/F4I's. The bike we built the prototype on obviously had a header that was tucked in the bike more. We didn't discover this until we already had hundreds of the cages out in public. DANO is right about the fix, you can tap it into place if you want or we'll make a longer set of side struts for you. Just give me a call at the office and let me know what you need. As for anyone that has our product and has a question, problem or concern; please give me a call and I'll help you fix it.

Re: F4i cage problems
talked to greg and he was absolutely right...
all i had to do is take one bolt out of the exaust and push the loop to get it into that indent in the exhaust...then i had a friend push down on the exhaust a little and i slid the exhaust bolt right back in.....
pretty easy to be honest...thanks for the help guys!
