i finally got my 929 Erion. Thankfully no more playin on the RC, i have a bike i won't cry if it falls. This bike is going to be Strictly 4 Stuntin. I want to get some knowledge and help me prep my bike. ideas,Opinions, How 2's,etc, OK.. Here's my route. I love stoppies and coasters. I am gonna work on 12's/bar tricks/ Slow(non-cirlcles at first) stuff/ no'handers. i have brake and throttle control on lock so i already have the FI 12 bar i bought for $40, cut the levers and so far i'll probably build my own cage when i borrow a welder(stick/not mig) those are the only for sure mods... I reinforced the subframe for $10. Shorty Exhaust. to knock out that tip-over i just jump the outside wires right? JB or Plastic weld the fairing stay? Oh yeah, i want to keep it fully faired for a least right now, streetfighter eventually. Now i'm not a baller so the best bang for the mods will be the best. What gearing do u think is good.. ithought 15/54ish should be good.Anyone have any hook ups to sprockets and a chain? Thanks i'll appreciate any/all inputs. Peace 1

i need that piece that you have right there to help support your subframe... mmm im going to have to make some of those...

 

i went 63 tooth sproket on the rear on my 929 120 link, the chain hits the bottom of the support bar on the swing arm, the cage i have is an MXD, the freestyle wont support that big b!tch fallin from 12. one thing you willl notice is that thing is like a tank and its heavy. here is the link to a post i started when i was tryin to wire up my tip sensor.

but all in all, my 929 has been droped a lot. it takes it and keeps on going. and its real ****in twitchy. if you plan on only using it in a lot, take out the air box flap, and the exhaust flap it will keep it from bein so twitchy, but you wont have any topend at all for drivin it around.

lol, i understand that... mine is all busted to **** now from dropin it over and over lol... if your goin to street figher ya might as well take it off. so when you get better, you can put it back on and you will look like a pro lol

 

 

just sell the upper.. keep the sides.. acerbis headlight.. you can get mass cash for the upper... that'll pay for your stunt parts and a REAL cage

 

I may be stupid but, isn't that piece going to mess with your suspension travel? You tied the swingarm and subframe together. Maybe not since it is close to the swingarm pivot.

 

It won't? I've crashed from 12 lots and lots and my Freestyle Ingenuity Cage has held up like a champ!

no, he didn't tie it to the swingarm. It goes to the pegs.

 

go buy some 1/4" x 1" wide steel and make you some. If I remember right....the pices are about16" long (give or take).

a friend i ride with has a freestyle cage on his 929 and it crushed the cage, and bent the ear on the frame. but everyone has their prefrence
