Re: Best sprockets?

Good idea
Everyone I know with a vortex complains about teeth breaking.
Did you change your chain?

Re: Best sprockets?

if one stick of dynamite is good then 2 has got 2 be better i know for fact is not a good moto to follow with sprockets. im currently -1 +10 for my likings it is a little 2 much rpm not really in wheelies but on the street. about half of what ive got now would be right i would still have a little more top end than i do now also with the benefit of wheeling in traffic on short notice without alot of down shifting. never miss an opportunity to showoff shame or impress onlookers

i previously had a 45 tooth from sprocket specialist but it was aluminum and i was missing 11 teeth off that b*tch when i noticed it...
i've heard with the bigger ones like 60 and above the load is distributed more so you dont really get issues....
i dunno i only got about 1,000 miles on my new 60 tooth so i'll have to see how that goes.
these one dudes at stuntwars had a booth setup with steel sprockets galore! which i think was an awesome idea, its about time somebody comes out with big azz steel sprockets. funny thing was they werent even that heavy.

What cage is that a 905?
I just ordered a powerzcage from a guy for $200 looks pretty solid.
I"m not sure if I want to do the streetfighter thing but I won't be using the sprocket till I get back in the game a bit. But I'll defininetly get steel.

Re: Best sprockets?

I buy new chains b/c I have no idea how the last owner took care of it. And there is no way in HELL I'm going to ride a used bike with an old chain. Ever seen one come apart??? NOT PRETTY!!! Save yourself the hassle, buy the WHOLE setup for cheap and then you know the quality of your chain and sprockets.

Re: Best sprockets?

i maintain the current chain on there, clean'd n lubed once a week so i know the shape of my chain. no tight spots. and its a 532 pitch chain way more strong then crappy 520.

Re: Best sprockets?

The 520 RK Gold chains are rated at 8500lbs of tensile strength vs. a 530 which is around 9200lbs of tensile strength. Its not like its a huge difference. Both are rated for 750cc.
