Re: learning circles
bout halfway down the south shore... pembroke.
there's a small group of guys that like to ride the streets... but NOBODY to practice w/ in the lot.
spots are very few and far between, but I do have a couple... one really nice newly paved lot thats late nite/wkends only.
how far away are ya?

Re: learning circles
FHL go out and practice...there's a sticky about circles so read it and go practice...and practice more, and practice more, and when you find a problem and want to ask a question - don't - go practice more...that's the fastest way to learn 'em...

so far i've got 1/4 to 1/2, but as soon as that happens i straighten out.. i have heard people say circles are 4 1/4 turns, so should i try to keep using my leg to pull it back into the circle after i get to the point of it wanting to straighten out or is there a better technique / anything i'm missing..

I'm just starting to get the hang of em myself. The way i learned em was to turn my idle up (6000-6500rpm, cause we're at 5,800ft above sea level) first and get the feel of going all the way around.
Slow the bike down so its under control and straighten your left leg. take the right clip on and pull it into your body across your chest. the bike will start to turn but you gotta keep it "high" or keep the nose up, so let of the break and let the throttle carry you through the first 180. then your gonna have to tap the brake to keep it from high sideing but don't hit it too hard cause the bike will fall if you do. Just tap it and then get off it and the idle should take ou the next 180. Just keep your left leg straight and keep pressure on the left peg. When you get the heng of this turn your idle back down. This will force you to learn how to "blip" the throttle in the circle and keep goin for more rotations. More than anything its just repitition man. The sooner you try circles a million times, the sooner you'll have em. Good luck
Re: learning circles
i got a full circle tonight and stopped trying since it was cold and i didn't feel like crashing, tomorrow i'm riding all day and it's supposed to be warm so hopefully i'll get em.
