Ok, so my handbrake is mounted under the clutch. I don't have any problems with it there, but I think it might be easier if they were swapped around. It would be easier to pull your clutch in further and still operate the brake.

is there any specific reason why everyone is rocking the brake under the clutch?

 

you want your brake lever to be as long as possible. Unless your clutch lever was really really long, the brake lever would block your access to it

ps...I put mine there because thats what the jones's were doing....and now I'm just used to it there!

 

I started with my HB on the top, now it's on the bottom and I can't get to it, first day like this so it's probably just me. the clutch is WAY harder to pull in but I'm just being a panzy about it.

 

I thought of that. If you think about it though, there would be no clearance problems that way. Index finger on brake lever on top and middle on the clutch, you could pull the clutch in entirely as the brake lever won't depress all the way to the bar.

Wait, I think I know what you're saying now. Just for leverage purposes right? What if you're rocking a radial and leverage really isn't an issue?

 

If you had those clipons that extended past the fork tube your idea would work great. Leverage is always an issue, this is your brakes we're talking about.
