Should I clutch right to balance point?

When doing wheelies do you usually clutch right to BP, or do you bring it up close to balance point and just give it more throttle to ge it to BP? Which way do you think you shoudl learn?

Thanks

Re: Should I clutch right to balance point?

you could go either way depends on if u know how to ride bp wheelies or if u can even wheelie full stop.

assuming u know how to ride wheelies out in say 1st or 2nd clutch it up higher and higher until u get the feel. then wen u know where bp is u will know how much throttle or how much u have to slip the clutch to get it to the height u want it at to ride a bp wheelie.

dont just go out and clutch it up hard if u dont know how to ride a bp wheelie.

i learnt this the hard way.....
