Oh Shyt...
Oh Shyt...
ok i m trying to learn like slower wheelies than whats normal for me..in 2nd i can walk one at 20mph. but when i put that hsit in frirst and try from a dead stop or from 5mph i slip it up nad i hit bp and it just drops or when it gets in it its insane jerky even when im pretty smooth with the throttle. what do i need to do?sprockets?
Re: Oh Shyt...
try and control the wheelie with 90% throttle and only 10% brake
if you clutch it up and bam! catch it with the brake that will be good once you've got it down, but throughout the learning process you will probably be too hard on the brake and thats what will cause the jerkiness.
the only thing sprockets will do for you is enable you to go 2mph instead of 9mph before your motor wants to stall

20mph is 2nd on a stock 750..wat are u at 5k rpms at the most...ur basically on idle...so chances are ur prolly going way faster then u think...clutch it up in first, ...and use the brake...im to laZy to explain this
Re: Oh Shyt...
pop it up in 1st with idle set to 3k, catch it with brake and let off the thottle completely(maybe even take your hand off and grab some fairing). keep doing this until you get the front to where the idle will just catch and carry you. It'll take a few trys but you'll get it. As far as sprockets go, G nice rocks nh all day long at the spot on his stock f4ezy! just keep at it!!!

Because.. a lil far fetched sometimes. 20mph, second gear, stock sprockets, just started riding wheelies couple weeks ago. This all doesn't add up!! BUT If you can do it more power to you! you must be rockn that **** past balance point and slipn the sh** outta the clutch

Re: Oh Shyt...
Popping up a bike in 2nd gear and getting it down to 20 AS A BEGINNER is hard on any bike.
All I gotta say is start out in 1st gear, crank the idle up to 4k - 4500 and PRACTICE your A$$ off. Practice rippin the bike up, and catching it on the back brake. Once you know you can catch the bike, now start catching the bike while using some throttle. Work towards feathering the throttle and using as little brake as possible. Practice that for as long as your arms can take it, then practice more!!
Once you think you've got it down pat, you don't... go do it again for an hour!
