Help Please, 2 F4i Mods I need to do

Ok I have did the tip sensor removal and I got new cam chain tensioner on order. Heres the 2 things I need help with and yes I did try the search first. #1---- I want to know how to do the oil overflow airbox mod? Any one got any pics or info to make it a easier job?
#2---- I need more info on how to change idol adjuster off a 900rrr over to my f4i. What year 900rr works best or does it matter? What parts do you need besides actual idol adjuster? Any pics and or info is greatlly appreciated. Thanks.

The air box isn't a problem unless you drop the bike on its side and it goes past 180 degress (tank is tilted down, wheels slightly upward). Every so often this will happen if you have a FI cage, just pick it up quickly and it won't be a problem. Otherwise you won't get oil in there.

I have no idea about the idle adjuster, I have the stock **** on my bike.

Just pull the breather out of the airbox and extend it so if oil comes out it doesn't land on anything important. I used a 96 idle cable. If you buy it from the dealer you get the cable, spring, and washer all in one package. That is all you need. Thank you drive through.

so the idol adjuster screws in without much of a problem? It didn't affect the way you bike runs or warms up?

nope ... before you put the extra one in make sure you set the stock idle at like 1000 though

Re: Help Please, 2 F4i Mods I need to do

Got my cable through ron ayers 900rr all part numbers were the same, 12.33 plus shipping comes w/ all you need to install. real easy mod. Take out the stock set screw and replace it with the cable, i put a piece of heater hose on the end of my adjuster to make it stick out a little longer and easier to turn. theres pics on here i think the thread is called f4i idle adjuster relocation or something in help and how to good detailed pics.

Hardest part is getting to it. The loc-tite on the stock screw is kind of a ***** to get off, but isn't too bad.

And dont use the spring when you put it in. Not necessary, and its alot easier to turn without it.
