back sprockets

OK i,ve been trying slow wheelies, 20mph is all i can get it to. So what i would like to know is how many teeth can i go up in the back to help with slow stuff? i want to keep my stock chain and front sproket [17 tooth] 01 gsxr 1000.

2 or 3 teeth, maybe 4. Front sprockets are cheap though, get a -1 then you can go up more on the back and keep ur chain.

Regardless, you don't need sprockets to go slower. Practice more.

Inolen i here ya i do need more practice. but dont sprokets make it easier to do slow stuff, thats why everyone use them. not being an a$$ hole just what to make it easy and learn from you guys.

That combo should send the front wheel up like a ROCKET! which isn't a bad thing, but if you don't practice and get some brake control, and if your throttle hand aint tuned just right, your gonna eat POOP!!!!!!! Good luck!!

They are helpful for doing slow off the peg wheelies and stuff (you don't have to clutch it as hard and you can go slower without the bike stalling). But for standard standup and sitdown wheelies, it's not really gonna make your life much easier.

I went down -2 in front and +8 in back on my new bike and it did not compare to my -2 front +22 rear on my old bike lol If your gonna replace sprockets buy a new chain its worth it!

I started scraping on a stock Honda cbr f3 it just took alot of practice
