Skitchin!

I learned to skitch yesterday! I know it's not the most amazing stunt, but it sure is a lot of fun... I got video, I'll post it and the rest of my progress soon. We're still working on our website.

It's actually really easy to do.. I just held on the bars, put it in a non twitchy gear, lifted my right leg up so it was over the passenger seat, put my weight on my arms, but left my wrists unweighted so I could steer/throttle, and threw my leg over, you can control how much your feet drag with your upperbody strength. When I got back on, I put my left foot on first, being careful not to tap it into a lower gear.

Does anyone know where to get stunt boots with metal plates by the toes? Or should I just make my own?

:YEAH I'm excited!

Re: Skitchin!

that was funny!

Is skitchin behind bike a lot harder than on the side? What speed is the best(safest) to start learning?

Haha same here, Skitching is fun as hell plus people look at you like your ****in insane. Doing It at highway speeds 60+ is pretty crazy cause the wind factor kinda blows you backward more ut its still fun as hell

And my Adio shoes are freakin slicks on the bottom (and wore through in spots) from skitching :YEAH

Now its time to put varients into skitching. Raising up one leg and stickin it straight out, or i like to sometimes do the "comfort" look and cross your left leg onto your right like your sittin down hehe. Skitchin off the right side can feel alittle wierd though. Im working on trying to mount the bike by "jumping" back onto the seat now by putting more preasure on your feet so your basically flung up onto the seat again (pretty tricky haha) i usually make it half way back to the seat and think oh ****. Ive also downshifted gettin back on which can give you a scare as well.

I think im goin to attempt rear skitching at like 30 MPH for the first time so that i can put it in neutral and not really worry aout HAVING to hop back on and just slowin the bike down till i can run next to it and hop back on

Skitchin is definatly a kid pleaser

My first skitch was awsome, I was on my quad goin about 35 MPH and I just felt like trying to do it and it worked and the funny thing about it was when I did it, I did it on the front of the quad, lol, Kinda like one of those new face skitches but not exactly I was facing forwards on the quad still but doin it on the front, When my leg heals ill definatly be sure to get pics and vids on here :YEAH
