Ammunition Accountability Legislation bill

The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana ) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers.

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded. Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand loaded ammo.) They will also charge a 05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more! If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun! This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona,
California,Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina,Tennessee, and Washington.

Last I had heard...this was D.O.A. already.

Impossible act to enforce, and would devestate companies like Federal, Remington, Winchester, Hornady,........

Think of .17 hmr, .22, and so on that fragment and are unrecognizable once they hit a target......would be impossible to be able to utilize the encoding anyways. If the law applied to everything but those calibers.....guess what would be used for crimes where you needed to get away without a code being found???

Not to mention the people who have over 100,000 rounds stockpiled.....you telling me the gubmint is somehow going to tell these people they have to dispose of all their ammo in the next two years???

This is a rediculous attempt for tighter gun control laws....you know, another one on the books that they wont enforce either!

Yeah I thought it sounded ridiculous but it wouldn't surprise me If they tried to pull some **** like this. More tax money for the bailouts.

oh.....they'll still raise taxes on ammunition in an effort to make it less affordable to most people, and in turn

one day soon you'll **** when trying to buy ammo when you get to the counter and the $20 box of ammo rings up at $30 or more.

All its gonna do is make ammo only affordable to those who have enough extra money to throw at it, and in turn take that money and line the pockets of DC ******** (Repub. and Dem.).

Re: Ammunition Accountability Legislation bill

FL is getting shittier & shittier for bikes, but at least it's still pretty cool for guns, thank goodness. But I'm tempted to stock up while I can just in case, because I fear it is only a matter of time before the national crackdown.

**** that.....I walk on egg-shells for nobody....he just keeps his mouth shut when guns come up anymore. I brought the argument up about a personal choice to own a gun in the home and if someone breaks in, rapes your wife, kills both you and her, thens steals all your ****.....wish you woulda had a loaded gun in the house then??? He replied about calling the cops......when I asked him how long it took for the cops to get there versus how long it takes to break in a house, he knew he had lost the battle.

Want to **** with a liberal? Show the hypocricy of their thinking! They bring up how they support abortion and not the death penalty....bring up how they are willing to take a truly innocent life, yet unwilling to take the life of someone convicted of a horrible crime. They wanna talk about trickle up poverty.....bring up how the rich can up and leave if they want and go anywhere.....then where does the welfare money come from???

Liberals are idealist, not realist. They have good intentions, but no intelligence to back it up!

I dont know about Evil.

Way I see it is they live in a fantasy world where everyone is as smart as everyone else, nobody owns more than "their fare share", and everyone lives in happiness and harmony and believes just like them.

Here they think people just "need to get with the program" and conform to how they believe and no other way. Make no mistake, in order for them to make the world safer and cut the murder rate down lets say 10,000 murders per year.....they would gladly kill 80 million of us gun owners to get their way! The numbers dont make sense, but its all to get to their fantasy world.
