It's between this and the ACOG's for me! LOL. To hard of a choice to make though and it hurts my head thinkin about it. Ha.

 

I have the bushnell holosight which is a cheaper version of the eotech and it works great. I use a magnifier as well after 25 yards or so.

 

What brand of magnifier are you using and is it 3x or 4x? Just wondering, cause I am wanting to get something reasonable to start off with, but will eventually go to either the EoTech or the ACOG.

I use a 3x aimpoint clone off ebay. It's a fake chinese version but it looks just like the real aimpoint magnifier and it works just as well as the real aimpoint I have used. The mount it comes with is garbage so I bought a mount from larue tactical. Don't buy any of the fake scopes off ebay because they are garbage but the magnifier works great.

I just read something today about an Aimpoint and that the Marine who was supplied with the ACOG, switched that out with his personal Aimpoint because he liked it better for getting on targets faster. There was also mention of it being tuff as nails! Dangit, why cant there just be a monopoly of ONE awesome optics source. LOL.

I might be going with the Aimpoint now and probably give one of those magnifiers a shot w/ a side-flip mount for when I want to get it outta the way and just use the sight by itself. You got a link or something for it?

Oh and I have been reading some stuff with how if you are ruff with your gun, not saying you will be, but sometimes the screens on the EOtech can crack, causing them to possibly fall completely out. I don't know about all that if I am spending that kind of money on something. Ha.

 

I am all about quality but the aimpoint magnifier clone works and looks exactly like the real thing. I wouldn't use a chinese sight though, those are as crappy as frembo's.lol

Yeah, I think I am gonna get the chinese type Aimpoint Magnifier and I have decided to go with either the Aimpoint Micro T1 or the Aimpoint M2,3, or 4.

I have been doing research like crazy and for the money and the situations that I will be using it for, the Aimpoint is the best route to go.

If you check out AR15.com forums, they have a ton of used EOtech's for sale over there. I am sure you know about that sight though.

I can't remember who I got it from. It was cheap and the seller was in hong kong, that's all I know.
