Dont get me wrong I think Sig's are great guns and I would love to own one, but for some reason I dont really care for the way it feels in my hand. I have shot a 226 and it was agreat gun but I just cant justify spending 1000 bucks on a gun that I dont completely love and over looking a gun like the Xd that I absolutly love the feel of and its almost half the price.

Glock = A+
SA XD = A-
Back to the subject, what do want it for??? Range shooting and home pistol?? Range and carry piece??
I personally don't care for the XD's myself, had a .40 compact that had some issues with fail to feeds and fail to eject, slide lock problems and the front rail for the light not in spec and surefire light falling of during training.
I say go with a Glock, I LITERALLY put mine thru hell from a 75MPH motorcycle crash with it to fishing, work, dropping it in sand and mud, neglect, and the damn thing went BANG EVERY TIME!!
You might want to go to a place that has both in full size and compacts try them side to side and see what you like better.
Glock $459 W/O Night sights, $510 W NS don't pay anymore than this, doesn't matter what color, what size, hicap mags or not. DO NOT BUY one of those cheesy *** carbon fiber ones or camoflage deals, the finish wears off instantly!!
Can't tell you what a XD should run, don't look at anything SA makes after last case.
PS, SIG 2022 is a great gun also, carries about a $600 price tag, light and reliable, just hefty on the mag prices and availability versus the Glock and SA.

I think I am going to just get the XD and stop playing head games with myself. For some reason I just love the feel of that gun. I tried to talk myself into something else but its kinda like test driving a corvette and porsche and then buying mustang. I dont know why you would do it, but for the people that do, they just know it suits them better.
