I think this is the first case of snapping 636 forks that I hear from europe, till now I thought it might be only a US model problem.
I will take a closer look on my buddys 636 next time I see him.
the problem is they snap and are virtually no signs of when its going to happen

Thanks buddy, the problem is that it doesent give you any signs of braking!
Looking inside the forks from where its snapped- it looks like the inner tube screws onto the bottom mount, mine broke from the last thread- about 10mm into the bottom mount.

****, I guess I will have to tell him to change out the forks!
How long were you stunting these forks, have you done a lot of stoppies, maybe there is a way to specify the stunt lifetime of these forks....

I thought about to buy an 04 636 since I can get one pretty cheap but after seeing this and all the broken frames I keep my hands off it and stick with my durable F4eazy tank.

03/04 636 forks will break without warning ,everyday that goes by these forks are closer to failing , why do people risk riding on 7yr old forks that are known to epically fail ?

i have personally seen more broken f4i frames than i have seen broken 636 frames but both break from the same thing usually , loose motor mount bolts ..get an 03 04 636 and put some 05 06 07 08 forks, fender and rotors on it

F4i frames are also starting to break at the headstock now too.
Mine has been welded twice, and a few friends have had to weld theirs

Its all inter net myths they call gsxr fixxer( ive had one for 2 years now and it has cost me £200 to keep going) and they all love B1h even though(engine mounts , forks, foot hangers, injectors break and with low supply of parts on the bay at big ££) blah blah its like "I" phone users they think its the best phone out there dispite the faults

Stunt what you got!
