Mk1 VW Caddy (GTI) £3995
I bought a caddy to do up with the intention of driving to to Austria this past winter season but got called out here early and didnt have time to finish some of the mods needed to cope with the weather over here. im based in Hull, Yorkshire and will be home in the next few weeks.
Lots of modifications done and ill name a few of them but as you can see from the pics there isnt much left standard..
1.8 8v GTI engine, now running a Weber carb -100miles
Full sports exhuast, splits half way into twin pipes
Rear axel flipped and front on coil overs (height adjustment plates fitted)
Audi A3 seats,
BBS alloys
real sliding window
cross hair front lights
rear clear lights
splitter
badgeless grill
the caddy is 20 years old and in great condition for it...theres only a few minor jobs left to make this finished such as new relay for the hazards etc,
the car is on the road taxed and mot'd

It is a lovely caddy?
But like Joe said the price tag is a bit high??
I sold my F reg one for £2200 with loads of spare parts like chrome bumpers and it had a custom paint with mirror flake finish. Good luck with the sale and try to advertise on the caddy forum as that is were i got most of teh inrest from.

Re: Mk1 VW Caddy (GTI) £3995
Joe,
The only reason so many off us own them is that they are affordable and also they last longer than any other pick up that i know!
I will be bringing a caddy to santapod tomorrow and it wil not be the best looking caddy you've seen but the 1.6 engine has only done 70k and it runs better than my dads Focus which is two years old.
we could have a drag race up teh strip of the caddy's

talk about low caddys, my mate had a caddy 2 inches off the floor! we went into hackney and got it beached on a speedhump and had to get the RAC out

My caddy isnt too low, i keep thinking about going lower but its my only car, and i have to get the bike in the back. Twisted squirrels is well low and on 13s He has the biggest worry of billy parking on it...
